Endemic to the Caribbean, Martinique, and Lesser Antilles, this New World arboreal tarantula boasts medium growth with females living around 12 years and reaching sizes of 5-6 inches. Males live about 2-3 years and are slightly smaller. Known for its docile nature despite mild venom, this species can be quick and has a propensity to jump.
